About Democracy Partners
Democracy Partners is an Afro-Centric Think Tank and Civic Engagement Organization designed to be the world’s premier Afro-centric governance and development advancement organization through thought leadership, policy research, technical training, and advocacy for people of African descent.
DP is a thought leadership think tank based in Washington DC focused on repositioning Africans as a healthy, happy and prosperous people globally. Our mission is to generate influential wellbeing and governance information through original independent research, educational and cultural activities, civic engagement and community service.
DP is governed by an independent Board of Directors, which oversees the operation of the secretariat in its entirety as executed by the Program Officers. DP funders are not permitted to serve on or to influence the Board and the secretariat staff.
While TAHF collaborates with a wide range of Afro-centric stakeholders, DP only represents and espouses the interests and views of its own, and not of any other political, religious, socio-cultural, corporate group or entity.
